Our Programs

  • We offer daily lessons in all major subject learning areas.
  • Our curriculum is focused on monthly themes that help develop age appropriate concepts and skills in language, math, literacy, and science.
  • We aim to develop your child's social, emotional and self-help skills.
  • The two curriculum areas we concentrate on are, "developing the self concept" and "the higher learning thinking skills".  The skills are organized by developmental areas for easy identification in preparing activities and meeting each individual child's needs.
  • We provide flexible blocks of time: Large and small group activities, along with free choice settings that encourages teacher participation with the children.
  • Additionally we recommend suggested activities that encourages parent involvement in the classroom and at home. 

Preschool

Ms. Barbara’s ABC Learning Center Pre School Program is funded by the California State Department of Education and enrollment is income based. We participate in the California Adult and Child Food Program (CACFP).

The success and quality of our center includes hiring qualified professional staff that continually are required to attend college, seminars, in-house training and workshops.

Our program is child directed and our activities are open ended to allow the child to progress at their pace. We maintain our center and strive to provide a high quality learning and teaching environment for our children incorporating the Desired Results Developmental Profile-2 (DRDP-2) as a tool to measure the success of our program and the ECERS-R as a standard for the over-all physical environment of our facility. The Centralized Eligibility List (CEL) is used as an additional tool for the selection of enrollment for eligible children. We offer two different sessions: Morning- 8:00-11:30 and Afternoon- 12:30-4:00.

 

We accept all forms of payment; i.e., Child Action, PACE, private pay, etc.

Before/ After School Program

Additionally our center offers before and after school care for children between the ages of 6-12. We provide transportation to and from selected schools within a 5 mile radius of the center.(Hrs:7:30 AM - 4:45 PM)

Summer Enrichment

We offer a 6 week summer enrichment program. This program is for children requiring some additional support prior to entering the public school system and to introduce first time students to the learning environment.
